All Natural Liquid Soap Ingredients

All of our All Natural Liquid Soaps use the same base ingredients. The only difference between them are the essential oils used for scent.

Distilled water, coconut, olive, sweet almond and castor oils, vegetable glycerin and sodium borate (borax) which is a naturally occurring mineral deposit produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

What is saponified oil?

The first soap is believed to have been made accidentally by the drippings of animal fat onto wood ash from a cooking fire. Saponification describes that chemical reaction. It is the chemical process in which an alkaline material, in this case wood ash, is mixed with an oil or fat. When you heat an alkaline material with oil or fat it separates the chemical bond of the oil, releasing fatty acid salts and glycerol. It's is what makes soap, well, soap. Without a heated alkaline combined with oil, soap would just be oil.

For our soap we only use food grade kosher lye used in pretzel making and cold pressed food grade PLANT oils to make our soap. We believe this combination, along with pure plant and herb essential oils for an aroma therapeutic scent makes the finest soap you can use.
